You ever have one of those writing assignments, that nailed you in the heart? My latest article on AC did that to me. My old middle school is closing after being open for 65 years. I had some fond memories of those years and fond memories of taking my daughter to choir concerts, as well as sporting events.

But progress is around the corner. A new and improved middle school was built to handle the volume of students being piped into high school. Craig Middle School is set to open this coming fall, and the student population will be split between Craig and Mann Middle School.

I salute Franklin, and GO BRONCOS!

You Married Guys: Get A Clue!

Okay, you’re probably wondering why I’m targeting married men with this post. Here is the reason: you fellas who think provision for your family, is your only purpose in the family…think again! Yes, I’m talking to you Mr. “my career’s more important than my wife and family”. Uh-huh, the guy in the nose bleed section who’s red-faced and about to burst a blood vessel, I’m talking to you!

The reason I’m yelling at you is this: if you continue to think of your own needs, and aspirations at this juncture of your married life, you won’t have a married life. I have this female friend who is well-provided for: her and her three munchkins. She has a physical ailment requiring her to be on several medications all the time. Now, the husband in this marriage spends most of his time either at work or his own pursuits and ignores her and the children.
Granted, I don’t know the full story, only what this lady has typed in a chat room, but I get the impression, there is dysfunction some where.

Christian comedian Jeff Allen had this to say in one of his monologues: “Happy wife, happy life!” Now, Jeff learned this after 23 years of marriage and 3 sons; how long will it take the rest of us? Me, it took about 14 years. But, all kidding aside, each marriage has its unique set of issues that come into the relationship. I try to live the scriptures of Ephesians 5:22-6:4; as well as 1Peter 3:1-7. Trust me, in today’s world, it’s not easy. And some guys, like me, struggle more with it than others, but even in my failure, the Lord still forgives me when I stumble.

And fellas, for those of you who are reading these scripture references and thinking, “who is this religious wacko?” I’m just a guy who struggles through life like you, but I choose to let the Lord lead me (Psalm 5:8). And here’s the good news, you guys can have the same hope.

Associated Content-Future of Freelancers

Upon finding Associated Content, I started to think: here’s my summer time job. Articles have to be at least 400 words minimum and properly structured and punctuated. There are also advantages for guys who do audio casts and video. The person who can do all three can make some serious money if they work the content properly and not violate copyright infringement and plagiarisms.

I encourage a writer or someone who likes to dabble in all kinds of content, to try this out and see how you fare.

The Next Day

Well, here I am again. I decided to celebrate the consolidation of my blogs into this one. if I can ever figure out how to include all of my blogs online, I would post once and mass distribute each post. Oh well, perhaps one day I’ll get it all figured out. Until then, I’ll just plod along post here. I like the fact this one pops up and I don’t have to go to the site to actually post. I can do the editing and just click on Publish To: and it works well. In the future, I plan to post some of my poetry and other short story writing. Take care until then my friends!
